Follow these instructions

Day 2 Touch Typing

Using proper typing technique will help increase one's overall productivity.

Tasks:

1. View this video on proper touch typing technique and create a list of typing tips in your notebook.
2. Log in to Typing Club at leyden212.typingclub.com
• username = email address
• password = id number
3. Complete daily practice (repeat 1 or 2 lessons for 5 to 10 minutes each day) in Typing Club using proper technique (remember to focus on how you type, not how well):

Day 2 Everfi: Ignition - Digital Literacy and Responsibility

• clear your browser history
• go to everfi.com/login
• enter your email address and password
• use your @student.leyden212.org email address
• use first initial / last initial / locker combo as your password
• click Log In
• click Get Started
• if necessary, complete the Day 1 activities before doing the following
• put on your headphones and click the Welcome rectangle
• watch the Introduction Video
• you will be introduced to Ignition where you will learn to use technology in productive, creative, and responsible ways
• this is only a simulation, you will not really get your favorite band to come to Leyden
• after first video, Click on the forward arrow to continue
• click on the Choosing a Computer rectangle
• turn the volume down for your headphones
• take Digital Preparedness Survey
• click on the Choosing a Computer rectangle
• read the screen and click the X
• click the Pre-Check balloon
• after video, Click on the forward arrow to continue
• answer the 5 Pre-Check questions
• types of  software
• how a computer works
• how to buy a computer
• after Pre-Check, Click on the forward arrow to continue
